Introducing our new destination – New York! We’ve lived in this state for many years, and now we’re excited to share its beauty with you. Fall in New York is magical – the weather is pleasant and warm, and the colors of the leaves are simply magnificent!
Arrivals at Newark Airport (EWR) on October 24th before 11 am. Departures: you can depart from any airport at any time
Please arrive at Newark Airport (EWR) before 11 am. We will pick you up from the airport and drive to Minnewaska State Park.
There, we will hike one of our favorite trails in the entire state of New York.
We’ll spend the first night near the park.
Located within an hour and a half drive from New York City, Minnewaska State Park Preserve is situated on the dramatic Shawangunk Mountain ridge, which rises more than 2,000 feet above sea level and is surrounded by rugged, rocky terrain. The park features numerous waterfalls, three crystalline sky lakes, dense hardwood forests, incising sheer cliffs and ledges opening to beautiful views. We will explore the park while hiking the trail that offers the best views in the entire park
This morning, we will drive to Niagara Falls, making a stop for a hike at Buttermilk Falls State Park.
Buttermilk Falls State Park takes its name from its centerpiece, the classical 165 ft foaming cascade, enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. The water mixes, twists and turns over the rock, looking indeed like creamy buttermilk as it reaches the bottom. Buttermilk Creek drops a total of over 650 feet through this valley toward Cayuga Lake. A natural pool at the base of Buttermilk Falls provides swimming with the feel of an old swimming hole
We plan to experience Niagara from both the water and the sky, from daytime into the night.
Niagara Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of North America. It’s made up of three different waterfalls. The three falls combine to produce the largest water flow rate of any waterfall in the world. Niagara Falls State Park is America’s oldest state park, that brings you closer than you ever thought possible to the grandeur of the Falls. It’s a beautiful sight that everyone should experience at least once in their life.
Every evening, Niagara Falls is transformed into an incredible, multi-coloured water and light masterpiece.
In addition, we will aboard the Maid of the Mist, where you can don a poncho to help keep you dry as the captain sets a course and sails right up to the misty edge of Niagara Falls
Today, we’ll drive back to New York City, and along the way, we’ll spend some time at Watkins Glen State Park.
Night in Manhattan.
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound.
Dark and damp, with cavernous pathways, alien-like stone formations, rare plants, and eerie isolation, Watkins Glen is the type of setting you would expect to find in a fantasy film rather than Upstate New Vork. Watkins Glen State Park features a series of waterfalls and gorges that are sure to amaze anyone
This morning, we will wake up in a hotel in the heart of Manhattan and then go to explore this incredible city!
