NEW MEXICO - WOW Adventures

Day 1

– Arrivals at Albuquerque International Sunport Airport (ABQ) on March 24th by 12pm. We will pick you up from there.
– Leave the airport by 1pm. Stop by a store to get snacks/water. Drive to Santa Fe for ~1h.
– Explore Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico. It is a city unlike any other, truly living up to its tagline, The City Different, at every turn. With legendary history and culture around every corner, an art scene that spans from traditional to contemporary, and award-winning cuisine that’s satisfying to all foodies.
– Check in to our hotel in Santa Fe.

Day 2

– Leave the hotel by 9am and drive to Bandelier National Monument for ~1h.
– Explore Bandelier National Monument. Encounter age-old dwellings, petroglyph engravings, and pictograph images at the rugged canyon of Bandelier National Monument. These ancient ruins patiently await your exploration. While known for mesas, sheer-walled canyons, and several thousand ancestral Pueblo dwellings, this monument also has over 33,000 acres of designated wilderness.
– Drive to Bisti Badlands for ~4h.
– Sunset hike in Bisti Badlands. On this trail we will look for the most famous formation there – the Alien Throne hoodoo.
– Drive for ~1h to our hotel for check in and dinner.
– Night at a hotel in Farmington.

Day 3

– Leave the hotel by 9am and drive to Bisti Badlands for ~1h.
– Hike the most scenery trails in Bisti Badlands. The Bisti
Badlands offers a vast landscape containing some of the most unique rock formations on this planet. From the Alien Egg Hatchery or Egg Factory and Hoodoo City to Manta Ray Wing and King of Wings, the unique nature of these formations is truly otherworldly. Photographers, hikers, and explorers from around the world visit the Bisti Badlands to see the hoodoos, desert spires, natural arches, and fossils unique to this area.
– Drive to Albuquerque for ~3h.
– Dinner and check in.
– Night at a hotel in Albuquerque.

Day 4

– Leave the hotel by 9am and drive to White Sand National Park for ~4h.
– Hike/explore White Sand National Park. Discover the world’s largest gypsum dune field. Here, great wave- like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert and preserves a piece of New Mexico’s unique geology. The waving dunes of white sand stretch out miles away, before your feet even touch it. It is an experience that can barely be captured into words. The stark beauty and sharp relief of the dunes will take your breath away. Breathe deep. Step into their world. Come back a changed person.
– Dinner and check in.
– Night at a hotel near the park.

Day 5

– Leave the hotel by 9am and drive to Carlsbad Caves National Park for ~3.5h.
–Hike/explore Carlsbad Caves National Park. Hidden beneath the surface are more than 119 caves — formed when sulfuric acid dissolved limestone leaving behind caverns of all sizes. The formations within Carlsbad Caverns evolved over hundreds of thousands of years. A subterranean wonderland of caves and fantastical geological formations are perfect for those who seek a bit of underground adventure.
– Drive to our hotel for ~1.5h.
– Dinner and check in.
– Night at hotel in Roswell.

Day 6

– Leave the hotel by 9am and drive to Albuquerque for ~2h.
– We will bring you back to the airport at around 12pm.
– Departures from Albuquerque International Sunport Airport (ABQ) on March 29th after 1pm.

Faq

Who can join your tours?

Adventurous and physically fit adults. Participants must be at least 18 and most are between 25 and 45 years of age.

How to book a tour?

A deposit of 50% of the tour cost must be paid upon booking to our business account. The rest of the payment must be paid 15 days prior to the tour date. Payment can be made by Zelle or by credit card. A 3.5% surcharge will be added when paying by credit card.

What to pack?

Shortly after receiving your deposit we will email you a detailed packing list.

Why do I need travel insurance?

We require mandatory travel insurance for medical coverage. Many US medical insurance plans do not cover medical cost in other states/countries. In addition to medical coverage, we strongly recommend purchasing additional coverage for unforeseen changes in plans, weather, or personal circumstances.

Where and how do I obtain travel insurance?

Traveling solo?

You will fit right in! Most of our participants are traveling solo so it is a wonderful opportunity to meet a group of like minded people who enjoy adventures. In our tours people connect and remain friends afterwards for a long time.

How physically active do I need to be to join your tours?

You don’t have to be an athlete to join our tours but being physically fit will allow you to enjoy and more easily participate in the adventure activities included in the tour. No special physical skills or knowledge is required. There is always strong team support for the exciting challenges that our tours provide.
